Trust and Foundations

 

Trusts and private foundations are similar legal entities, which are used for individual estate planning.

 

The trust is a legal act whereby a person called the settlor transfers assets to a person named trustee to administer them on behalf of one or more beneficiaries or trustees, who may be the same settlor.

The private foundation is currently the best vehicle for estate planning, as well as offering many of the advantages of the trust; it is more modern and flexible to allow the founder transfers assets to a structure controlled by him and not a third.
